Sheriff Reports Arrest of Putnam Resident Wanted on 2 Warrants

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

A complaint of a disturbance in Kent led authorities to a man who police say was wanted on charges of petit larceny in Southeast and criminal trespassing in Carmel.

According to a report from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office released Wednesday, Deputy Sheriff Michael Neuner arrested Kent resident Stephen C. Codd, 63, around 8 p.m. Jan. 23. Neuner was responding to a complaint of a disturbance at a Clubhouse Drive home.

He concluded Codd was "the subject of two active arrest warrants: one issued by the Town of Southeast Justice Court on a charge of petit larceny, and the other one issued by the Town of Carmel Justice Court on a charge of criminal trespass in the third degree," the release states. Both charges are misdemeanors.

Neuner arrested Codd on the warrants and officials processed him at the Putnam County Correctional Facility, where he awaited arraignment.
