1) Story and craft time at the Brewster Public Library (50 Main Street in the village) starts at 11 a.m. today. It's the first session of the program for the fall (ends Dec. 11). Children should be between ages 2 and 5.

2) Representatives from Barch College, Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY College at Cobleskill, Western Connecticut State University and the University of Arizona are visiting Brewster High School today. Visit the school's website for more information.

3) We'll have cold weather for the first time this fall: highs around 50 and lows in the 30s.

4) Chappaqua resident Bill Clinton's visit to Nyack for a fundraiser has picked up interesting comments about local politics.
