It's time to break out the sleds. Brewster and Mahopac schools were closed Tuesday (Dec. 17) due to the inclement weather, while Carmel ran on an early dismissal schedule.
The Patterson Library is closed today. No word yet on the Brewster Public Library, which opens at noon on Tuesday. Thunder Ridge Ski Area is open. As of about 10 a.m., Playscape of Brewster was closed (the business is posting updates here).
The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for total daytime accumulation between two and four inches. Temperatures will hit at a high of 25-degrees during the day, and a low of 16-degrees at night.
This is the third snow day in two weeks for Brewster schools. The district allots four.
