Town: No Garbage, Recycling Pickup Thursday Because of Storm

It is still several hours away, but the impending storm is already impacting folks in Southeast.

"Please be advised that there will NOT be any garbage or recycling picked up tomorrow, February 13, 2014 due to the storm," town officials said in an email Wednesday morning. "All Thursday scheduled pick-ups are moved to Friday, February 14, 2014."

Forecasts call for a "potent coastal storm" that will begin delivering up to eight inches or more of snow and ice to the area Wednesday night. It's slated to start around 4 a.m. Wednesday. The National Weather Service is calling for snow and sleet accumulation of four to eight inches Thursday, and another three to five inches Thursday night.
