Wanted: Photos of Putnam Kids Getting Messy

Southeast-Brewster Patch is looking to feature photos of local kids getting messy in a tribute to Ty Louis Campbell, and all the other children who can't because they're fighting cancer.

Ty died Oct. 17, 2012 at the age of 5, after battling the disease for more than half his life. Since then his parents, Cindy and Lou Campbell of Pawling, have launched many fundraising efforts with the goal of finding better treatment options for pediatric cancer.

One of those efforts is the Muddy Puddles Project, which encourages parents to let their kids get messy and enjoy, or "celebrate," childhood. Ty always wanted to play in muddy puddles once he got "bedda," Cindy and Mahopac-native Lou say.

Since so many Patch readers followed Ty's story, we're hoping you'll share photos of your kids caked in everything from glitter to mud. Send them to Ashley.Tarr@Patch.com and we'll feature them on the site.
