Film Festival Preview: What You'll See

Viewers will watch from the lawn of the Walter Brewster house.

The first-ever Village of Brewster film festival is just days away.

A "food fest" is slated to kick off the event, which takes places on Oak Street and on the lawn of the , at 4 p.m. Saturday. That portion of the festivities will run until 7. At 8, the films will begin. Read on for a full list of features and details on the folks who created them.

A Day in the Life of a Green Man — Christopher Delgado: Hollywood native who has "summered" in Brewster for years, studies at San Francisco State University

Allegheny Creek — Sashia R. Dumont: actress and writer working out of New York City

Before I Met You — Michael Gerrity, Adam Santiago: Storytellers from Milwaukee, WI

Design — Fred Henry: Independent filmmaker from New Jersey

Down in the Mouth —Kirby Ward: Actor, choreographer and director who has been in the business for more than three decades (he's worked on several award-winning pieces)

Little Angel — Chris Casaburi: Photographer, videographer and more from Lake Carmel

Quiet De Luxe — Gary Ploski: Screen, stage and web actor

Round Trip — Victoria DeMartin: White Plains resident, student at State University of New York at Purchase's film conservatory

The Board — Fred Rabbath: Egyptian-born author, director, filmmaker and more

Walrus vs. Unicorn — Eugene Armencha: Filmmaker and visual effects artist working in New York City

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.

Great topics. I really like Mr Jacobs point of view on education. Also "A recipe for aRead More meaningful education." Always looking for more ideas on this topic. After all it is your child education-why not let then be involved in decisions. Look forward to April 12th. Thank you to Longview for offering this great event.
