Today I was informed of a traffic stop in New Lebanon in which a man pulled over for a burned out license-plate lamp was charged with SAFE Act-related violations. The man had nine bullets in the chamber of his legally registered pistol. We cannot stand for these violations of our constitutional rights. This traffic stop did not save anyone's life but it definitely hurt this man's future. We must repeal this law before any other legal gun owner is turned into a criminal.
