We are in new times now. People are changing their ways, giving old thoughts some new life and making things different and still affordable. Well, in addition to all your everyday adjustments, what I would like to ask is for everyone to reconsider the Village of Brewster.
Yes, I know what I'm about to hear. "There's a lot of men on the street," ... "They don't speak English," ... "It's Brewsterica," ... "Brewstermala," and everything else you heard someone else say. But now it is time for you to make up your own mind and pay a visit. I think what you will find is that things are changing very nicely.
Now, because I have a business here, some who know me may say I'm biased. But the reason I opened a business here is to start making a change — and change is here! So what I would like is for everyone to put Saturday, June 2nd on your calendar and visit (gulp) Brewster.
On Saturday, June 2nd we have the Farmers' Market starting. ArtBeat is from 11-3. The elementary school is having a . The Village has new stores like , a new gift store — Casa Rostica Bonita, a new cultural arts center — , in addition to the old places like , Chinese food, Spanish food (yes, it is really good too!), , , and many other new and old places to visit.
So what I'm asking is that you take an hour or two on a hopefully nice Saturday afternoon and make up your own mind. Yes, I can hear the excuses — "the Spanish people may look at me," ... "I might die walking down the street," ... "I don't like Spanish food" — bla, bla, bla. Well, I've been in the Village for the past six years with my business and I'm not dead or hurt, the people are friendly and the food is pretty good. Go figure. And I'm hopeful that since I've walked the "gauntlet" of Brewster everyday and survived that you will come in on June 2nd and have a great time with me. Looking forward to seeing many new faces!
