Radio Play ~ The Bishop's Wife ~ FREE
Christmas prayers are often answered, but sometimes not in the way expected! The 1947 holiday film classic, The Bishop's Wife, weaves a charming tale of how Dudley, an angel dispatched from heaven to answer the Bishop's prayers for a heavenly new cathedral, provides answers and fulfills promises in a uniquely insightful (and angelic) way -- and in the process discovers the possibility of heaven on earth in the form of the Bishop's wife, Julia. Orignally filmed featuring Cary Grant as Dudley, David Niven as the Bishop and Loretta Young as Julia, The Bishop's Wife was presented as a radio 'soap' in 1949.
The Brewster Theater Company's Armchair Actors will present a reading of the radio 'soap' version at The Studio Around the Corner, Main Street, Brewster on December 15th at 3PM as a holiday gift to our audiences. The cast includes: Tony Di Cristofaro, Eric Schuster, Lance Whitney, Peter Lerman, John Schettino, David Torres, Barbara Disraeli, Lynn Viggiano, Patricia Sebastian, and Angela Fradella. Come enjoy this timeless classic and view the 2013 TOSCAC Festival of Trees on display in The Studio.
