VIDEO: After Busy First Weekend, New Business Looks Ahead to Grand Opening

They specialize in bagels, but also offer coffee, sandwiches, soup and more.

, located at the corner of Routes 6 and 22 in the Village of Brewster, is exactly what the area needed — at least that's what customers are saying.

Owners Joe Khader and Nasser Aqeel opened the cafe's doors last weekend after months of preparations. They say they've seen several repeat customers since, and the shop isn't even complete yet: they're still waiting on a mural and menus.

But in the meantime, Khader and Aqeel are encouraging folks to swing by for a fresh bagel, panini or some soup. Coffee lovers may invest in a large travel mug for $9.99, and enjoy 99-cent refills thereafter (they are usually $2).

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
