Local Businesses Attend Patch's Main Street U

This free workshop fielded questions from businesses about social media and their online reach. Brewster and Southeast business owners have a chance to attend a similar session this week.

Last night, New City, Nanuet, Nyack and Pearl River Patches hosted the first  a free, two-hour event designed to teach business owners how to improve their connection to the internet community.

Business owners came to learn about how to take better advantage of social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter, with mini-workshops delivered by Patch staffers, community bloggers and social media experts on how to use Patch and add your own content to the online conversation.

Partnering with Patch are the Business Council of Westchester, the New City Chamber of Commerce and the Rockland County Clerk's Office and the Clarkstown Town Clerk's Office.

There will be two more Main Street Us coming up, and business owners in Brewster and Southeast are encouraged to attend:

  •  event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25 at .
  •  event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 30 at .

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
