Soup, Salad and Sandwich Shop Opening in Carmel

A pre-opening fundraiser scheduled for Thursday will benefit the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation, a local non-profit aimed at finding more treatment options for pediatric cancer.

Putnam Plaza is getting a new eatery.

Zoup!, a soup, salad and sandwich shop, is set to open on Route 6 in Carmel Friday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. Staff members were training on Monday.

Customers can expect soups to rotate daily, with low-fat, vegetarian, dairy-free and spicy options.

The company is 17 years old. There are locations in 14 other states, as well as in Ontario.

The shop is slated to host a pre-opening fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Folks who attend will get a bowl of soup, a piece of bread and a fountain drink for $5. All proceeds will go to the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation, a Carmel-based non-profit aimed at finding more treatment options for pediatric cancer.
