We present a vacant space or property and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use. Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts most people to sleep. What would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?
The series has stirred lots of conversation, with plenty of suggestions for empty places all over Brewster and Southeast.
Now, we're hoping you'll weigh in on the space that once held Marshall's shoe shop in the Putnam Plaza on Route 6 in Carmel. Other businesses in the strip include a dollar store, a florist, a gym, a liquor store, a pizzeria and a pub. There's also a supermarket.
