Introducing Chop Culinary Entertainment - Acclaimed local chefs bring to life at home culinary experiences

Over the past few years, the public’s obsession with the culinary arts has led us to look at food in a whole new way, both socially and with a more watchful eye on what we consume health-wise. In response to this growing trend, local chefs Angela Rivera and Anthony Accomando have created Chop Culinary Entertainment, which will offer at home private instruction, group classes and cooking parties for both adults and children, and intimate catering experiences that blend modern, culinary elegance with healthy eating while bringing your party’s chosen theme to life.

“ We offer our clients a fun yet sophisticated alternative when planning their next party,” shares Accomando. A classically trained chef and product of the prestigious French Culinary Institute, Accomando’s pedigree is one of the most acclaimed in the Hudson Valley. He is listed in the 2013 edition of Best Chefs America, has been named a ‘chef to watch’ by the Journal News and, according to the Wall Street Journal, his signature lobster roll is considered one of the most innovative in the country.  “Our presentations are tasteful, engaging and most importantly educational so guests will leave having learned a new skill, like rolling sushi,” he adds.

In addition to offering lively and interactive culinary experiences, Chop Culinary Entertainment is committed to healthy eating and utilizing local products whenever possible.  “Our goal is to teach our clients how to enjoy food that is good for you without sacrificing the enjoyment of bold flavors and diverse tastes,” explains Rivera, a graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts who has taught both children and adults how to apply this philosophy to their every day lives and meal planning. “Our mission is to teach people how to fall in love with food in a way that can enrich their lives long term,” she concludes.

Adult culinary parties include everything from teaching guests at a bridal luncheon ‘How to Cook Your First Meal as a Newlywed’ to inviting your neighbors over to learn the ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ of Grilling’. Similarly, children’s parties range from themes such as ‘Petit Pastry Chef’ to ‘Little Italy Pizza Party’. Each child also receives a chef hat, apron and recipe packet to bring home. Seasonal classes will be offered at select public venues as well with topics such as ‘Five recipes with a basket of Zucchini’ to ‘Basil Fest’.

Accomando, Rivera and their staff are also available for corporate events, individual instruction, and conceptualizing and creating innovative catering menus that range from classic French to gourmet vegan and anything in between using the highest quality local and organic ingredients. Seasonally themed catering menus will be featured on their website as well, with party concepts like ‘An Evening in Tuscany, Save the Airfare!’. In addition, ChopCulinaryEntertainment.com will feature regular instructional videos, recipes, reviews and cooking tips, ultimately serving as Westchester County’s premier online culinary destination.
