WASHINGTON – Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) today voted in support of H.R. 933, the Department of Defense, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2013 which passed the House by a vote of 267-151. This legislation ensures our country avoids a government shutdown while giving more flexibility to the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration on sequestration cuts.
“Folks in the Hudson Valley didn’t send me to Washington to keep playing political games, shut down the government, or hurt our seniors or veterans,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney.

The continuing resolution also continues six day delivery for the US Postal System along with restoring cuts on loans to small businesses and farmers, and federal prisons like the correctional facility in Otisville.
