BHS Student Reflects on 9/11 While Abroad

On a scholarship from a program that was created after the attacks, she's begun to examine certain stereotypes she developed as a child living in a post-September 11 world.

Hannah Foster, a 15-year-old Brewster student who is currently studying abroad in Malaysia, may be thousands of miles away, but her home is rarely far from her mind.

Whether she's comparing daily rituals, examining positions she's held for years or simply trying something new, Foster is often thinking of her life in the U.S. And that was certainly the case on September 11.

Foster wrote a piece reflecting on that day, and what she's learned since. It's available here

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
