Hundreds Pack Funeral Home for Storm Victim's Service

Around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, with just 15 minutes left in the first set of visiting hours for Jack Baumler, scores of people waited in the cold outside Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster.

Friends and family members of Jack Baumler, the North Salem boy who died when Hurricane Sandy hit Monday night, will celebrate the 11-year-old's life today.

Hundreds of people gathered to remember the youngster Thursday at Beecher Funeral Home. He died alongside longtime pal Michael Charles Robson, 13, when a tree fell onto the residence where they were playing and watching television.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Church in Croton Falls.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
