It's a Girl: First Putnam Hospital Baby of 2012 Arrives

She weighed in at 7.08 pounds.

Nearly two days in 2012, staff members at the Putnam Hospital Center (PHC) delivered the facility's first baby of the year on Monday night.

Kaitlin Ashleigh Platania, a new resident of Wingdale, arrived at 9:43 p.m. yesterday. Dr. Michelle Caban delivered the little girl, who weighed 7.08 pounds and measured 19 inches at the time of her birth.

Staff members presented Platania's parents; Danielle and Michael, who is an employee of the Carmel Central School District; with a gift basket of baby items for their bundle of joy.
