1. Take a Trip to the Studio Around the Corner

When/Where: 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday/Studio at  on Main Street in the Village of Brewster

Why go: Check out the studio's latest exhibit, entitled "Music in Motion," by Philip Jensen-Carter. These weekly shows draw folks from all over the region.

2. See Cinderella at The Ridgefield Playhouse

When/Where: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday/ on East Ridge Street in Ridgefield, CT

Why go: Take the kids to see Cinderella! She and her new friend Mortimer Mouse will sing and dance from stepmother's house all the way to the ball with Prince Charming. Storybook characters come to life as audiences share in the spirit and joy of the AFT Broadway for Kids production.

When/Where: 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday/ on Independent Way in Southeast 

Why go: Brewster Boy Scouts Troop 1 is hosting this event. Support these youngsters and the great work they do in the community!

4. Pick Up Your Plants at Master Gardener Annual Sale

When/Where: 8:30 a.m. Saturday/Cornell Cooperative Extension office on Genevea Road in Southeast

Why go: Shop for everything from perennials and shrubs to tons of vegetables—including more than 1,000 tomato plants! Plus, experts will be on hand to provide anything and everything you need to know when it comes to taking care of your precious greenery.

5. Take the Kids for a Day of Fun at Putnam Hospital 

When/Where: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday/Putnam Hospital Center on Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel

Why go: There will be tons of games, crafts, demonstrations and more—including a batting cage—for youngsters. National Football League and Super Bowl star Rob Gronkowski is slated to attend, too.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.

Great topics. I really like Mr Jacobs point of view on education. Also "A recipe for aRead More meaningful education." Always looking for more ideas on this topic. After all it is your child education-why not let then be involved in decisions. Look forward to April 12th. Thank you to Longview for offering this great event.
