No Injuries Reported in Route 312 Accident

Much of the car's front passenger side was damaged and hanging off the shoulder of the roadway.

More than a dozen first responders were at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Route 312 in Southeast Tuesday evening.

It happened near Prospect Hill Road at about 8:25 p.m. The driver, the sedan's lone occupant, extricated himself and refused medical attention, according to Brewster Fire Department officials. They were unable to say what caused the accident.

Several fire trucks and Putnam County Sheriff's Office patrol cars sat along the roadway with flashing lights. Traffic came to a stop shortly after the crash as emergency responders arrived. They began to clear the scene about 15 minutes later.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
