NYSEG: Power Should be Back This Morning

Highway department reports no blocked roads.

About 2,300 New York State Electric and Gas customers were without power in Putnam Thursday morning, thanks to Wednesday night's storm, but the situation should change soon.

According to the company's online Outage Central, most of the folks in the dark are located in Brewster, Carmel, Mahopac, Southeast and Patterson. Restoration times listed there range from 8:30 a.m. Thursday to 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The rain and strong winds knocked down a few trees in Southeast, according to Southeast Highway Department Superintendent Kevin Palmer, but he reported no blocked roads.

That wasn't the case a bit south in Bedford and Katonah, where schools are running on a two-hour delay and officials are clearing downed trees from roadway.
