College Application Essay Boot Camp

In 4 days, students complete their college application essays!

In four days, students complete their college application essays guided by college professors in Educational Awareness’ College Application Essay Boot Camp.

Enrollment limited to only ten students per class. Deadline August 1st.

Session I – Define the requirements of the Common Application • Clarify the elements of a successful college essay • Examine superior and inferior samples

 

Session II – Brainstorm and develop appropriate essay ideas • Focus on organizational patterns and essay development • Complete essay introduction within this session

 

Session III – Edit student writing • Develop an awareness of sensory language • Add effective details • Participate in a peer editing session • Evaluate essays to determine collegiate level

 

Session IV – Participate in individual conferences with professors • Edit and proofread • Integrate all revisions into final copy

 

Classes take place on August 11 – 14. Four 1.5 hour time slots are available: 9:30-11:00AM, 12-1:30PM, 4:30-6:00PM or 6-7:30PM at Studio Around the Corner, 67 Main Street, Suite 101, Brewster, New York 10509
