Concerts Around the Corner at the Studio Around the Corner - student tickets only $5.00!
Sunday, November 3rd at 3:00pm: The Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition presents rising Stars from Manhattan School of Music's acclaimed Chamber Symphony in their second performance at the Studio Around the Corner. The program includes Carl Nielsen’s Wind Quintet Op. 43, Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 18, No. 6 and the Bachianas Brasileirias No. 6 for Flute and Bassoon. The performers are: Flute – Caitlyn Philips; Oboe/English Horn – Sarah Scruby; Clarinet – Brian Gnojek; Bassoon – Taylor Smith; French horn – Elizabeth Harraman; Violin – Hannah Choi and Ji Min Lee; Viola – Olivia Chew and Cello – Patrick Hopkins.
Manhattan School of Music’s Graduate program in orchestral performance produces polished musicians of the highest artistic caliber. These young musicians work closely with principal musicians from the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera. Current and former students have won positions with major orchestras across the country.
