1st CASH MOB PUTNAM COUNTY Event kicks off in Mahopac on January 20th

John B. Porter, Owner of Kitch n’ Kaffe in Mahopac, NY announced today that the first CASH MOB PUTNAM COUNTY event will take place in the Mahopac Village Center, 181 Route 6 in Mahopac, NY at 1:30pm on Sunday, January 20th but the exact locally-owned business to be mobbed will remain a secret until the day of the event.  The mob will meet in front of Rammi’s Bagel Shop, where the mobbers are encouraged to grab a cup of coffee as they wait for the mob to hit an unsususpecting merchant at 2:00pm.  The mobbers have all agreed to each spend $10-$20.  This will be the first monthly Cash Mob event in Putnam County.  Anyone can join the mob by liking CASH MOB PUTNAM COUNTY on Facebook or emailing kitch-n-kaffe@comcast.net to receive invitations to each event.

We will be giving the unknown business an immediate economic stimulus, we’ll get stuff for ourselves, meet new people in the community, and then celebrate afterwards at a local restaurant”, says Porter.

Background

Cash Mobs are established through Facebook to bring the community together to support the independently owned businesses and enable them to thrive. Mobbers spend $10-$20 and benefit from being a part of something organic that impacts their community positively. Not only are Cash Mobs helping local businesses achieve financial success, they are creating everlasting customers and uniting people of the community.

Porter is hopeful that concerned citizens in every community in Westchester County, Fairfield County, New York City, Long Island, & New Jersey will take the initiative to form their own community Cash Mob.  This can easily be done by visiting the national Cash Mob website @ www.cashmob.com.

For more information on CASH MOB PUTNAM COUNTY, contact John B. Porter at kitch-n-kaffe@comcast.net or call (845) 276-0072 or go to CASH MOB PUTNAM COUNTY and click on Events.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.

Great topics. I really like Mr Jacobs point of view on education. Also "A recipe for aRead More meaningful education." Always looking for more ideas on this topic. After all it is your child education-why not let then be involved in decisions. Look forward to April 12th. Thank you to Longview for offering this great event.
