Superstorm Sandy caused not only tremendous environmental damage and tragic loss of life in the New York metropolitan area, but served as a wake-up call to the region. How can we live safely and sustainably in the face of increasingly unpredictable weather and accelerating climate change? Join us for a lecture by Riverkeeper's Hudson River Program Director Phillip Musegaas on how we can balance the need to make New York City more storm resilient while protecting and restoring the unique and diverse Hudson River ecosystem.


Refreshments served at 7pm, lecture begins at 7:30pm.

Hudson River Program Director Phillip Musegaas, Esq. oversees a staff of attorneys and investigators whose mission is to safeguard the ecological integrity of the Hudson River. He earned a J.D. with a Certificate in Environmental Law from Pace University School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) in Geography from the University of Washington.
