It doesn’t get fresher than this! The new weekly Ridge
Hill Farmers Market with Down to Earth Farmers Markets, in association
with Whole Foods Market will happen each Friday rain or shine from
12PM-6PM, starting June 7 and running through Friday, November 22. In
addition to offering local produce from our region’s robust farming community,
Ridge Hill Farmers Market will also feature
a range of fun activities for the whole family. Shoppers can enjoy culinary
showcases by Whole Foods Market featuring healthy, in-season ingredients—as
well as guest appearances by chefs from Ridge Hill’s great restaurants and food
emporia, including Sur La Table, Havana Central, Cheesecake Factory, Bonefish
Grill and Texas de Brazil, displaying their farm-to-table cooking skills.
“Ridge Hill is already a foodie destination, home to
Whole Foods Market and so many great restaurants, and we are so excited to now
be offering this new kind of Farmers Market. Families can shop for the
freshest local produce, pick up healthy recipes and cooking tips---then head
into Whole Foods Market and find all the supporting ingredients they need to
make healthy seasonal meals,” said Kathy Welch, EVP of Forest City
Ratner Companies, owners of Ridge Hill. “We’re pleased to be partnering
with the experts at Down to Earth Farmers Markets and supporting our region's
local farmers by bringing the freshest in locally-sourced produce and homemade
natural products to Ridge Hill customers.”
