The Poetry of Paintings & Treasures: An Art Gala

Treasures’




Studio Around
the Corner presents ‘The Poetry of Painting & Treasures’ featuring the
paintings, prints, and collages of Michelle Raspanti and Sue Fehring, as well
as, the poetry of Kristina Johnson.

  • Painter and printmaker, Michelle Raspanti graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts
    from the College of Saint Rose.  Her work is inspired by the images of the existing world. Ms. Raspanti’s work has been shown at Arts on the Lake and Brewster’s annual Art Beat.
  • Poet Kristina Johnson graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Albany.  Her work covers an array of subjects dealing with human emotions, nature and theory.  ‘The Poetry of Painting & Treasures’ features Ms. Johnson’s poems inspired by Ms. Raspanti’s paintings and prints.
  • Sue Fehring’s work includes paintings, collage, and jewelry design.  Ms. Fehring graduated with a B.A. in Art from SUNY Plattsburgh, and studied mixed media and collage with Christopher Staples.  Her work is inspired by color, form and texture and their interaction with each other.  Ms. Fehring’s work has been shown at the
    Putnam Arts Council and the Garrison
    Art Center.



This is the first exhibit for all three artists at Studio Around the Corner.

Reception -  Friday, January 31, 7pm – 9pm
