The folks at the Putnam Lake Fire Department are thanking community members for their contributions—which filled two vans—when it comes to restocking the local food pantry.

The items were donated during the department's holiday parade and tree lighting Saturday. Posted on Facebook, the thank-you gave a shout-out to the "Oliveri Family, along with the friends and supporters of the 'Food Dude in Memory of Matt Oliveri.'"

Oliveri, a 28-year-old Putnam Lake resident and department member who died in February 2012, was always giving back. Read more about him here.
