Ty Louis Campbell Foundation Needs Votes to Win $10K Grant

The folks at the Ty Louis Campbell Foundation, a non-profit aimed at finding more treatment options for pediatric cancer, are asking for the community's help.

The foundation is hoping to secure a $10,000 grant through KIND, an organization dedicated to "making the world a little kinder, one act at a time." Each month, KIND gives $10,000 to a different project.

Pawling residents Cindy and Lou Cambell launched the foundation after their 5-year-old son Ty lost his battle with cancer. Ty, who was also known as SuperTY, died in October 2012. Through events like the Mess Fest in Mahopac and campaigns like the Muddy Puddles Project, the couple is aiming to raise funds for "safer, more effective treatment of various childhood cancers."

Here's what Cindy wrote in an email to SuperTy supporters:

We have a tremendous opportunity to win a $10,000 grant for the TLC Foundation, but we need your votes.  It literally takes only seconds to vote.  Please help us win, and encourage your friends and family to do the same.  It would mean the world to Lou and I if you would also share the link on your social media channels and email this link to your friends and family with your own personal plea for votes.

You all knew and loved our baby boy - and for those who never got to meet him you have given Lou so much love and support since his diagnosis and we are honored to know you!  Please help us continue to pay tribute to him and all kids fighting cancer through the Muddy Puddles Project.  I can’t tell you how much it would mean to us to win this. Thank you.

The TLC Foundation has secured 2,442 votes at the time of this post. Click here to vote.
