1. Celebrate Brewster's Founding Folks

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday/Main Street in Brewster

Why go: Tons of your fellow community members and neighbors will attend this annual celebration, which features a car show, games, vendors and much more. Plus, this year's event—which is slated to be bigger and better than ever before—coincides with Putnam County's 200th year. It's guaranteed to be a good time for the whole family!

2. Support the Arts at Studio Around the Corner

When/Where: 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday/Studio Around the Corner on Main Street in Brewster

Why go: Lindsay Burdick's show is set to include tons of one-of-a-kind photographs—many of which will look familiar for Brewster and Southeast residents. They on display three different times throughout the weekend.

3. Take Advantage of Autum at the Harvest Festival

When/Where: 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday/Green Chimneys on Doansburg Road in Southeast

Why go: This annual event, featuring animal demonstrations, hayrides, pumpkin painting and lots more, will be great for the kids. Pair this with a few Founders Day activities and the local art show, and you'll have a weekend packed with fun.

Pricing: $5 (children younger than 12 are free; some activities require additonal fees)
