The Village of Brewster is a Great Place

Good things are happening right here in our own backyard. News from Putnam CAP.

Working in the Village of Brewster has given me the opportunity to find out about many of the good things happening in Brewster. Did you know that there is a that meets monthly to discuss events and issues of interest to individuals and businesses? It's not a political forum and it is open to the public.  Have you heard about ? This is a monthly initiative started by Bob and Stacey Dumont that brings artists to Brewster, brings people into our village and helps rejuvenate Main Street USA. Our is a wonderful resource that everyone can enjoy. There are shops, restaurants, an and even a .

In addition to the many commercial establishments, there are several churches in the Village of Brewster that tend to the needs of the people. Two of these churches have been instrumental in the operation of 's Soup Kitchen. We recently relocated the Soup Kitchen from The , led by Pastor Ray Mellett. Pastor Mellett has graciously provided a host site for the soup kitchen for many years and we thank him for his generosity and support.

Today, June 5th, thanks to Pastor Rick Julian, Janet Ward and the entire FBC congregation, Putnam CAP will reopen the Soup Kitchen at the of Brewster. As they say, it takes a village.........and this is proof of what we can accomplish when we work together. Putnam CAP is happy to announce that this critical program will once again be offered to the public every Tueday, Wednesday and Thursday for lunch. Everyone is welcome.

The building is owned and operated by the Town of Southeast. All people in the Village of BrewsterRead More pay taxes to the Town of Southeast.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
