Brewster Businessman Dies at 66

Norman Staples Brundage (Buck to all who knew him) died Wednesday, Jan. 11 in Ossining after a brief battle with cancer.

Buck was born on March 11, 1945 in Hutchinson, KS, to Arthur F. and Catherine Staples Brundage. He grew up in Pleasantville and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1963.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. During this time, he was stationed in the Philippines and Vietnam and was awarded a bronze star. On Sept. 8, 1979, he married Sonja Johnson in Darien, CT. Since 1985, they have lived in Brewster where Buck operated his own audio recording business. Couch Creative Services has served various artists from all genres of music.

Buck is survived by his wife, Sonja; their two children: Jennifer J. and Eric S. Brundage; his brother Richard S. Brundage of Fair Oaks, CA and sister Barbara S. Brundage of Pleasantville. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be private. Beecher Funeral Home (1 Putnam Avenue in Brewster) is assisting the family with arrangements.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.

Great topics. I really like Mr Jacobs point of view on education. Also "A recipe for aRead More meaningful education." Always looking for more ideas on this topic.
