Brewster High Graduate Dies at 83

Geneva F. Green, 83, of Danbury, CT, died Saturday at the Danbury Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Green was born in Danbury on March 3, 1929 to Ernest and Mabel (McDonald) Erickson. She graduated from in 1947.

Mrs. Green married Alfred E. Green on May 2, 1948 at in Brewster. Mr. Green died in 1992.

Mrs. Green was a clerk with Guidepost in Carmel for 25 years, retiring earlier.

She enjoyed puzzles, reading, knitting and crocheting. Through the years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Alfred.

Mrs. Green is survived by her son, Alfred Edward Green Jr. of Botsford, CT, and two daughters, Geneva Genovese of Stuyvesant and Patricia Davis of Watertown, TN; two sisters, Esther Anderson of Danbury, CT and Ellen Stoughten, Myrtle Beach, SC; as well as nine grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and five great-great children. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Mabel Green, in 1998.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Maple Avenue Cemetery in Patterson (). Dwyer Funeral Home (23 South Street in Patterson) will be assisting with the arrangements.
