Brewster Woman Dies at 94

Beecher Funeral Home provided the following obituary.

Clementina D. Pietroforte, of Brewster, died Sunday at Danbury Hospital. She was 94.

Clementina was born Oct. 22, 1918, in New York City, to the late Romolo and Ziatta (Pieratti) Soldatini. She married Liborio Pietroforte on June 29, 1940 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in the Bronx. Liborio predeceased Clementina on April 19, 2002.

Clementina worked for the New York Telephone Company as an operator for twenty years before retiring in 1962.

Clementina is survived by her two children: Marie Horkan, of Pawling, and Frank Pietroforte of Finleyville, PA. She is also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church (on Prospect Street in Brewster). Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery (on Lafayette Avenue in the Bronx).

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
