Former Brewster Resident Dies at 45

Carolyn A. ‘Carrie’ Robbins, age 45, of Brookfield, CT—formerly of New Fairfield, CT and Brewster—died Monday in Carmel.

Carrie was born in Eastchester on March 14, 1967 to Joyce (Clark) Goetze of Brewster and the late Theodore A. Goetze Jr. She graduated from in 1985 and attended Naugatuck Valley Community College.

Carrie was a secretary for Prochek Home Inspections in Danbury, CT for 10 years, a job which she enjoyed greatly. Carrie enjoyed the ocean and visits to the Jersey Shore, as well as gardening and her music. Fishing brought about a sense of calm when life would get in the way, and she could always be counted on to simply light up any room she walked into. Carrie will be greatly missed.

Besides her mother Joyce, Carrie is survived by her fiancée, Patrick Streaman of Brookfield, CT; her daughter, Amanda Clark of Bethel, CT; two sisters, Laurie Gallagher and her husband Chuck of Brewster and Valerie McHugh of North Clarendon, VT; and a brother, Theodore A. Goetze, III of Brewster. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Christina and Kevin Clark.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 at  in Brewster. A private cremation was held earlier. Beecher Funeral Home (located at 1 Putnam Avenue in Brewster) will be assisting with the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carrie’s memory may be made to Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam, Inc. (540 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, NY 10591).
