John F. Morris, 80

Morris was a Somers resident, Carmel business executive and treasurer of the Putman-Westchester Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

John F. Morris, 80, formerly of Glen Rock, NJ, currently of Somers, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Northern Westchester Hospital.

He was born in Brooklyn to the late Richard and the late Anna (McKeon) Morris. John served as Chairman of the Board and President of Brady-Palmer Label Corp in Carmel. He was the former CFO and Treasurer of the Putman-Westchester Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

John is survived by his wife of 55 years Helen (nee Marks) Morris;
father of: Patrice (Bill) Hansen, Jean (Jim) Henry & Christopher (Maura Monaghan) Morris; grandfather of Blair, Katherine, Elizabeth, Taylor, Kate, Flannery, Quinlan and Jack.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan 4, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am on Saturday Jan 5 at St. Joseph's RC Church, 10 Croton Falls Road, Croton Falls, NY.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Somers, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities of NY Disaster Relief Fund, www.catholiccharitiesny.org.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
