Obituary: Brewster Woman Dies at 54

Beecher Funeral Home provided the following obituary.

Geraldine Campbell, 54, of Brewster, died Thursday, Jan. 31.

Gerri was born Aug. 12, 1958 in Mount Vernon. Daughter to the late Frank W. Madden, Jr. and Geraldine V. Farrell, she graduated from Lakeland High School in 1976, and later, from Pace University.

Gerri was a registered nurse for Westchester Medical Center. She loved music and she loved to play her violin. But her biggest passion in life was her grandchildren.

Gerri is survived by her husband Ray Campbell and also her four children: Christopher Thorpe of Patterson, Joseph Thorpe of Brewster, John Thorpe, Jr. of New Milford, CT and Courtney Campbell; six grandchildren: Kyle, Carly, Jimmy, Hayden, Sean and Liam; as well as siblings: Christopher, Daniel, Susanne, Jennifer, Francis III and the late James Madden.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Church (221 East Lake Blvd.) in Mahopac. Visitation was Monday at Beecher Funeral Home (located on Putnam Avenue in Brewster, 845-279-3615). A private cremation will follow.
