Beecher Funeral Home provided the following information:
Gladys Marie Anderson, age 77, of Brewster, died at home on Friday.
Mrs. Anderson was born April 25, 1935 in Brooklyn, daughter of the late Karl and Hilma (Halverson) Larsen. She graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn in 1953.
On Dec. 12, 1957, she married Henrick Anderson in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
Besides her husband Henrik, Mrs. Anderson is survived by three children: Kurt Anderson of Brewster; Henrik “Rick” Anderson of Alexandria, VA; Kim Madden of Baskin Ridge, NJ; nine grandchildren and her brother Roy Larsen of Florida.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Beecher Funeral Home (located on Putnam Avenue in Brewster, 845-279-3615). Interment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery in Brewster. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Beecher.
