Obituary: Services Set for Brewster Woman

Services are slated for Wednesday and Thursday.

Beecher Funeral Home provided the following information:

Lorraine Ciotti, of Brewster, died Tuesday in the Bronx at the age of 93.

Mrs. Ciotti was born July 3, 1919 in Mt. Vernon, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Santora) Tomasini.

She married Eugene Ciotti in Mt. Vernon, New York on August 20, 1944. Eugene predeceased his wife in Sept. 2011.                       .

Mrs. Ciotti moved from New Rochelle to Brewster six years ago and became a member of St. James The Apostle Church in Carmel.

She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Abbey, of Brewster, and Gina Rice, of Hartsdale; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. James the Apostle Church (14 Gleneida Avenue) in Carmel. Internment will be private. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Beecher Funeral Home (located on Putnam Avenue in Brewster, 845-279-3615).

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
