Carmela F. Friberg, 88, of Brewster, NY, died on Sunday, May 18,
2014 in Carmel, NY.
Mrs. Friberg was born in Manhattan, NY on June 5, 1925 to
Costantino and Lucy (Caruso) DeLucia. She graduated from schools in
Manhattan.
Mrs. Friberg married Enar H. Friberg on October 16, 1976 in Scarsdale, NY.
Mrs. Friberg was an accounting clerk for Raichle Molitor (a ski equipment
distributor) in Brewster, NY for many years.
Mrs. Friberg was a 35 year resident of Brewster having lived in
Mamaroneck, NY prior. Mrs. Friberg enjoyed travel as well as shopping and
care of her flower garden.
Besides her husband of 37 years, Mrs. Friberg is survived by her sister Anna
Cassone of Brewster as well as three nieces and a nephew, Linda, Louann,
Patricia and Frank and their families.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 22, 2014,
10am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY. Interment will
follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster, NY. Friends may call at the
Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster on Wednesday from 4-
8pm.
