Street Signs

I have been living without a street sign for months now.  One day the sign was knocked down, the next thing I knew it was removed. When I asked the highway department when I might expect to see my street sign replaced, I was told about a street sign thief who is driving around and taking signs for the aluminum.  Though I respect the problem the town faces in replacing the multitude of missing street signs, I only know that I would like to see the street as I am approaching it, and the driver behind me would like me to signal before I am right on top of my road.  My taxes are paid on time, could the town please see that I get my street sign back.
