Where in Southeast Do You Get Your Hair Done?

In this feature, we're asking you to get involved in some friendly competition.

Even with nearly a dozen salons in the area, it can be difficult to find a stylist who carries out your vision when it comes to your hair.

So the question, Brewster and Southeast residents, is where do you get when you need a new 'do? Do you frequent , ,  or someplace else entirely?

This is the eighth installment of our Rivals feature, where Patch asks readers to visit Patch Places and share their thoughts on which featured business they like best.

We're not asking you to be professional critics. Just vote and share a thought or two on what you like (or don't like) about the selected places.

Here's how it works:

1. Create a free Patch login name and password if you don't already have one.

2. Vote in the poll below.

3. Leave a comment beneath this article noting which establishment is your favorite and why. If you're extra passionate about the business, feel free to visit its respective listing in our Places directory, and add any comments you'd like to share with community members.

4. The salon with the most reviews by noon on Wednesday, Jan. 11, will be declared the winner. One user, from the ones who comment on this article, will be chosen at random, as the Rivals "Reviewer of the Week," to receive some cool Patch swag.

4. Not into any of these places? Check back next week for another Rivals challenge, where we'll highlight a different sort of establishment.

Thanks for playing!

Here is some additional information to keep in mind:

  • This contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter to win Patch swag, leave a comment beneath this article noting which establishment is your favorite and why.
  • All entries must be received by noon on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
  • You may enter one time, by leaving one comment.
  • One user will be selected in a random drawing.
  • One of the following swag items will be sent to that user: a Patch water bottle, a Patch magnet, a Patch tote bag or a set of 10 Patch pens. Approximate retail value of prizes: $5 or less.

The Cosmopolitan, located in the Clocktower Commons. The staff is super friendly, the salon is immaculate, it is easy to get to, and they have refreshments available. Tanya is my personal favorite, and she is always sporting a different (and adorable) haircut every time I visit. When I asked who she has cut her hair, she told me she just grabs whoever is available! Since she always looks fabulous, her response to me is a vote of confidence and professionalism for every one of the stylists in the salon. I almost hesitate recommending it, because I don't want it to become too busy!
The Cosmopolitan - one of Brewster's best kept secrets!

Tina's Hair Creations! And, I live in Pawling! I've been going to Tina's for about 7 years now, and can't say enough about the staff, the salon itself, and how they actually LISTEN to you! Tina, Marybeth, Gina, Alexis and Joyce are the friendliest! And, not like other salons where all they do is talk about each other. THUMBS UP FOR TINA'S!

I get to the root of my hair stylin' at COSMOPOLITAN in clocktower commons. I have been going since Sheri Hogan opened the doors about 10 years ago. I walked in for a consult and have been there since. The salon is beautiful, relaxing, and everyone works as a team. I have had most of the stylists cut my hair and each have been wonderful. The product lines (hair, cosmetics, accessories especially Vera Bradley) are fabulous. When I get my hair done, it's my little "getaway!" Cosmopolitan gets kudos from me!

I left a comment, didn't see it and am posting again.
Body Beautiful of NY Day Spa, 155 Main St, Brewster village. Gineann always knows exactly what I want and what would look good on me. I've been going for years for nails and pedicures, facials etc. but not sure everyone knows they have a hair salon there, too. One of those places where you instantly part of the family and everyone knows your name... so personal and caring. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Tina's Hair Creation is the only place I go... I've been going to Tina fora very long time. She is the only person I trust with my hair. Plus its always fun to hang out with the ladies of the shop.

I've been going to Arielle in Brewster for over two years. Danielle is wonderful! She cuts, colors, and highlights my hair and my daughters go to her as well. It is a very nice, low key salon. Everyone is super friendly, and you will get quality services minus the pretentiousness of some other establishments in the area.

I've only been to A cut above by Pina.. because its the closest to home, but they're not as wonderful as I thought.. Women are older not trendy and dont really know how to blow dry... I can see confidence by the way a person holds a round brush
