2 Danbury Men, 1 Carmel Woman Facing DWI Charges

State police in the area have made several drunken driving arrests in recent days. Here are the details:

  • Troopers conducting a driving while intoxicated checkpoint on Interstate 684 in Bedford at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday arrested a 49-year-old Carmel woman. Her blood-alcohol level was reportedly 0.10 percent. The legal limit is 0.08. She's facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated.
  • A 24-year-old man from Danbury, CT was stopped at about 3:25 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Argonne Road and Route 6 in Southeast after he failed to dim his headlights. Police say his blood-alcohol level was 0.14 percent. In addition to a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge, he is also facing an infraction for not having a license. The defendant posted $450 station bail and was released pending a future appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
  • Police arrested a 21-year-old Danbury, CT man, who was pulled over on Interstate 84 after he passed a trooper who was conducting a traffic stop and failed to move to the left lane, at about 2:40 a.m. Sunday. His blood-alcohol level was reportedly 0.10 percent. He's due in Southeast Justice Court Sept. 12 to answer the misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated.
