Bits from the Blotter: Disorderly Conduct, Petit Larceny

The New York State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate any convictions.

Patch recently sat down with officials from the  and discussed troopers' activity. Here are some items from the last week:

  • Trooper John Dolezal responded to a report of disorderly conduct around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday at the in Southeast. Complainants told police that a 44-year-old Carmel man caused a scene by refusing to leave the premises after he was fired. The man was reportedly employed by a company that was working with the department store by contract. Once police were involved the man agreed to vacate the area, officials told Patch. No charges were filed.
  • Trooper Jeffrey Kuhlmann arrested Yonkers resident Maria D. Cifuentes, 44, around 4:30 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny. Police allege that Cifuentes was involved with the theft of a bottle of Patron tequila, valued at $95, from in late August of 2011. The defendant was remanded to the Putnam County Correction Facility on $3,000 cash bail or bond. She is slated to appear at Southeast Justice Court at a future date.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
