Village officials recently hired another officer.

The Brewster Police Department (BPD) is a bit smaller these days.

Since February, four members have left. , and . The last, Officer John Croston, 35, recently joined Yonkers' force. The Westchester resident had been a Brewster cop for about four years.

Officials swore in former New York Police Department Lt. Edward Swarm, 49, late last month. The Mahopac resident is now a part-timer, as are all of BPD's members.

DelGardo and Mayor Jim Schoenig have been interviewing to fill one more officer position.
