A ambulance transported a 70-year-old woman to Putnam Hospital Thursday morning after she was reportedly hit by a vehicle.
The accident happened at about 11:20 a.m. Thursday behind 1 Main Street in the Village of Brewster.
Members of the say the driver of a mini van taxi cab was reversing out of the parking area in front of the train station when the vehicle rolled back and struck the woman. She sustained what appeared to be injuries to the knee area, and was conscious as responders loaded her into the ambulance.

Police say the accident appears to have been accidental.
