Carmel Cops: 2 Teens Involved in Rollover on Drewville Road

There were no signs of alcohol or drugs, according to officials.

Police say the driver in a one-car crash on Drewville Road in Carmel Wednesday afternoon lost control because he was speeding.

It occurred around 2:45 p.m. as the driver, a teenage boy from Lake Carmel, was heading east in a 2006 Ford Focus. Officials at the Carmel Police Department say he was driving too fast, lost control and hit an embankment, which caused the car to roll.

Another teen boy was also in the car. Neither sustained serious injuries, but the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department transported the passenger to Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel as a precaution, according to police.
