The investigation into the weapons discovered at a Mahopac man's home following his death last week is ongoing, according to Carmel Police.

Here's what the department said in a statement released Monday afternoon:

"With regards to the ongoing investigation and confiscation of weapons from Jonathan’s Orser’s residence, located at 303 East Lake Blvd., a total of 111 weapons were processed consisting of handguns, rifles, shotguns, and five belt-driven semi-automatic belt fed weapons. Of those weapons confiscated, the following weapons have been found to be in possible violation of federal and/or state laws—14 unregistered handguns. We are also currently evaluating two modified handguns and six modified or possessed rifles/long guns/parts that may be capable of firing multiple rounds with one trigger pull. The investigation is continuing and Carmel Police will be conferring with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police who regulate pistol permits and the registration of various weapons."
