Cops: Brewster Man Drives Drunk, Strikes Barrier on Route 6

He was released after posting $500 bail.

A 24-year-old Brewster man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated after he crashed into a construction barrier in Southeast this weekend, officials say.

Troopers from the Southeast Barracks arrested Juan Mendez-Borja at about 12:25 a.m. Saturday. They had previously observed him driving his 2000 Honda Del Sol in "an erratic manner" on Route 6 in Southeast. He is accused of striking a construction barrier. 

Mendez-Borja was released on $500 bail, pending an appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
