Cops Charge Carmel Man with DWI

State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 32-year-old Carmel man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated following a recent arrest in Southeast, police say.

State Police at the Southeast barracks initiated a traffic stop on Route 6 at about 3:10 a.m. Saturday. They reportedly found the driver, Matthew A. Whitehurst, to be intoxicated.

Whitehurst will be due in Southeast Justice Court at a later date.
